ACCESSIBILITY + DIVERSITY

At Fodder + Farm, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all individuals, regardless of their background, abilities or identities. We believe that diversity is not only a source of strength but also essential to creating a vibrant and thriving community.

We want to do what we can to ensure that our events are accessible to everyone.

If you have specific accessibility requirements that aren’t discussed below, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs.

Kat or Kevin are available to discuss how we can support you in experiencing the farm, so please feel free to contact us!

Mobility:

We are dedicated to providing experiences that are accessible to all of our guests within the restrictions of operating within a 17th century farm steading.

The main event barn is accessed via the main gravel courtyard.  It is level access into the building and there is plenty of space for maneuvering.

There is a step-free route to the fire garden and fire kitchen via a grass path around the outside of the event barn.

Our farm tours are very adaptable to the needs of the group. There are gravel paths around the farm and step-free access throughout. There may be rough terrain and we would be delighted to help you navigate that, or bring things to you if that is more comfortable.

Loos:

We have two loos available for events. Currently, our main toilets are in the farmhouse. This has a small step up (though we have a ramp to help if required) and has a sharp turn to the right when you enter.  There is a more accessible route through the house, which Kat or Kevin would be delighted to help you with (as long as you promise not to judge the inevitable laundry that comes with a busy 5 person household).

We have baby changing facilities in the farmhouse. Ask a member of staff if you require it!

Our goal for 2024 is to upgrade the restrooms to a fully accessible, gender neutral and environmentally friendly facilities, so watch this space.

Our Staff Team:

Our team undergoes regular training on inclusivity and sensitivity to ensure they provide exceptional service to all guests. We foster an environment of respect and understanding, and we value the unique perspectives that each team member brings.

Our Community:

We actively engage with our local community to support diversity and inclusion. We collaborate with organizations and events that promote cultural exchange and equity in our region.

Discrimination, harassment, or any form of prejudice is strictly prohibited at Fodder + Farm. We take an active approach to this and maintain a zero-tolerance policy and encourage our guests and staff to report any concerns promptly.

We recognize that our journey toward true accessibility and diversity is ongoing. We regularly review our practices, policies, and procedures to identify areas for improvement and to further enhance the inclusivity of our events.
